Inside Sales Manager

Abveris is an antibody discovery biotech company providing contract research services for biopharma companies of various sizes. Over the past two years, we have seen exceptional sales growth, which depends heavily upon the continuation of successful relationships with our customers. We are searching for a full-time Antibody Discovery Inside Sales/Marketing Manager to join our team and continue to develop strong customer relationships. The Inside Sales/Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Antibody Discovery Operations to coordinate custom antibody discovery projects from early project design to final deliverables. In this role, the Inside Sales/Marketing Manager will act as the liaison between customers and our laboratory scientists and will therefore have a high level of involvement in alliance management at Abveris. A major part of the role will involve coordination of multiple custom antibody development projects, including direct management of a portfolio of projects, customer communications and interaction with scientific teams. A successful candidate will be highly organized with a keen eye for detail. This job is ideal for scientists looking to transition out of the lab and into the business side of antibody discovery.

Job responsibilities to include:

  • Significant involvement in sales process and early project discussions
  • Frequent communication with customers, including technical support and troubleshooting
  • Management of antibody discovery project timelines and deliverables
  • Frequent coordination with antibody scientists and sales team
  • Quote development and project design
  • Data quality control and report analysis/presentation

Candidate qualifications:

  • in biological sciences or related field with 0-2 years of experience orM.S./B.S. in biological sciences or related field with 5+ years of project management industry experience
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of biologics characterization assays (SPR/BLI affinity ranking/measurement, ELISA, FACS) and functional assays (epitope binning, neutralization screening, ligand blocking assays, ATCC assays)
  • Basic understanding of the hybridoma-based antibody discovery workflow (immunizations, cell culture, purification, sequencing)
  • Ability to troubleshoot scientific data and present data to customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
